Made from individually cut pieces of stained glass, each one hand cut, ground, foiled, and soldered, with painted details to bring out structure and depth within the dark tones.
I intentionally kept the habitat light and minimal to contrast against the richness of the glass. Each base is built by hand, with every rock shaped and painted individually. Drawing from my taxidermy background, the environment is designed to enhance the piece, not compete with it, so the raven stands out the way it should.
Mounted on a wood bookend that keeps everything grounded and cohesive.
